The Thai Health Promotion Foundation, or ThaiHealth, was established in
2001 as an independent organisation with the objectives to reduce sickness
and death, and improve the quality of life in Thailand. It supports groups
and organizations that are already working on public health issues.
It has a unique method of funding, receiving 2% of the national revenues
from tax on alcohol and tobacco.
