Welch Allyn launch 2010 Clinical Engineering Team of the Year Award

5 March 2010

The Clinical Engineering Team of the Year Award was created by Welch Allyn to recognise the valuable contribution clinical engineers make to the healthcare industry.

To enter, teams need to provide details of a project, small or large, that has made a difference to the department or hospital and brought innovation to the use, management or implementation of medical devices.

The winning team will receive £1,500 of Welch Allyn equipment as well as a £1,000 training fund. In addition, the winner will be presented with their award at the annual ‘Completing the Picture’ meeting with dinner and accommodation provided the night before. This year the runner up will also receive a donation of Welch Allyn equipment to the value of £1,000 and a £500 training fund.

Welch Allyn’s UK Marketing Manager, Jan McMeekin commented: “The role of clinical engineers in the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients should not be underestimated. The Clinical Engineering Team of the Year award recognises the important work this group of professionals do every day but also provides a way of sharing ideas and innovation with colleagues from other hospitals.”

The entry deadline is 7th May 2010 and to enter you can download the entry form at www.completingthepicture.com
