Philips ranked first for patient monitoring systems in 2008

Royal Philips Electronics (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHI) has announced that
customers have again rated Philips Healthcare first in overall service
performance for patient monitoring systems in the annual IMV ServiceTrak
survey.
The results of the 2008 IMV analysis also show Philips earning No. 1
rankings in overall manufacturer satisfaction and probability of
repurchase for patient monitoring.

ranking for patient monitoring customer services is a tribute to Philips

In an independent survey by IMV Limited, customers were asked to rate
patient monitoring systems manufacturers on a broad range of factors
across the product ownership lifecycle. For patient monitoring service
and performance, Philips led with 11 top rankings including No. 1 in
overall manufacturing satisfaction and No. 1 in probability of
purchasing again.
For services, not only did Philips achieve No. 1 ranking in overall
service performance, but it received No. 1 in all three modes of
providing service: warranty, contract and parts/labour. In addition,
equipment performance rankings include No. 1 in systems performance
meets expectations, No. 1 in reliability of hardware and No. 1 in
reliability of software.
The IMV survey included ratings in the categories of system
performance, satisfaction with the manufacturer, satisfaction with field
service engineers, service performance, help desk telephone support,
remote dial-in diagnostic support, and installation and training.
More than 210,000 of the market-leading Philips IntelliVue patient
monitors — featuring sophisticated clinical decision support tools — are
in use in healthcare institutions worldwide.
