Xograph introduces wireless mobile X-ray C-arms

Xograph Imaging Systems, an independent radiology equipment supplier in the UK and Ireland, has announced wireless network(WLAN) connectivity on its Ziehm range of surgical imaging mobile C-arm image intensifiers.

The first Ziehm C-Arm with wireless network connectivity will be delivered to The Borders General Hospital, Melrose, Scotland.

Ziehm mobile C-arms are designed for X-ray, video and digital imaging in highly demanding, minimally invasive and interventional surgical procedures in areas such as cardiology, urology, neurology and orthopaedics.

The WLAN technology provides a wireless connection between the Ziehm mobile C-arm and a local area network (LAN) to increase workflow and flexibility in the operating theatre.

Digital image data can now be fed directly over standard DICOM 3.0 protocol to and from RIS/PACS. Data transmission via WLAN reduces the time to set the unit up and eliminates the need for cables in the already confined space of an operating environment.
