Gamma Medica-Ideas wins two mammography orders in Italy

Gamma Medica-Ideas has announced that it has installed its LumaGEM 3200S/12K breast imaging systems in Italy at the University of Sassari and the Hospital of Santa Anna of Ferrara.

Professor Giuseppe Madeddu will use the LumaGEM system at the University of Sassari and Doctor Luciano Feggi will use the system at the Hospital of Santa Anna of Ferrara. Both physicians are leaders in the field of molecular breast imaging.

"More and more physicians are using our LumaGEM breast imaging system for detecting lesions in women with dense breasts who have a high degree of risk for breast cancer," said Dr. Samir Chowdhury, Vice President of Clinical Imaging for Gamma Medica-Ideas. "We're pleased that Professor Madeddu and Doctor Feggi now have this state-of-the-art breast cancer detection instrument available for their patients."
