Ferrania and MiASoft announce partnership agreement

Ferrania UK has signed a OEM Partner Agreement with MiASoft to market and sell the AiMS image management application portfolio as part of Ferrania’s LifeWeb PACS and RIS/PACS portfolio.

The deal was signed on 1st October 2005 by Ferrania UK Managing Director Adrian Stevens and MiASoft president and founder Per-Egil Hansen. During the negotiation period Ferrania observed a number of demonstrations of the technology at key UK sites.

Adrian Stevens said: “As our customers watched the product in operation the benefits were immediately apparent. We had no hesitation in looking to add AiMS to our expanding PACS portfolio. Its reputation is outstanding and the functionality of the software — Search & Retrieve, e-Learning and Editor — far exceeds its competitors. With integrated customer support and training fully in line with our other LifeWeb product offerings, the fit with our sales and marketing expertise is extremely potent.”

Per-Egil Hansen said: “I am delighted to have an OEM partner like Ferrania handling our products. Its track record of delivering innovative solutions to the medical imaging market is second to none and their appetite for the product convinced me that this agreement was in our best interests. We have a great opportunity to sell into more PACS sites than ever before and I look forward to working closely with the Ferrania team in the coming months.”

Ferrania and MiASoft expect to announce their first UK site shortly, with others already in the pipeline.
