28 March 2005. NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. USA. Medtech Insight, a division of Windhover Information Inc., has announced that it will expand its "Investment In Innovation (In3): A Preview of Early-Stage Medical Technology Companies" conference series to attract young start-up companies as well as investors from outside of the United States.

The conference, called In3 EUROPE, will be held on Sept. 20-21, 2005, at The Crowne Plaza Brussels City Centre Hotel in Brussels, Belgium. Medtech Insight's "Investment In Innovation" and specialty investment and partnering conferences have established a reputation as the premier forum for senior executives in the medical device, diagnostics, biotech and investment communities to preview promising early-stage medical technology companies in need of funding, acquisition and/or strategic partnership.

This two-day event will feature more than 50 emerging medical device start-ups from around the world that will present to an audience of over 400 senior executives, representing most of the leading investment and medical technology firms. The forum will consist of 10-minute presentations by a senior executive from the presenting company, followed immediately by one-on-one meetings with company representatives in private breakout rooms.

Companies will present on a range of technologies for such high-growth segments of the medical technology industry as interventional cardiology, spinal and orthopedic surgery, drug delivery technology, and stroke management, among many others.

"Typically, 20% of the companies that present at our domestic In3 conferences are from outside of the U.S. and are mainly from Europe and Israel," reported Sharon O'Reilly, president and CEO of Medtech Insight. "We have had many requests to hold an In3 conference in Europe and look forward to this meeting, where we'll bring together the international investment community with some of the most exciting medical technologies being developed from around the world."
