PACS Administrator

This household name is currently looking to recruit an experienced PACS/RIS Administrator to maintain and support the day to day functionality of both a PACS & RIS system across multiple sites.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the system is functioning correctly and maintain first class imaging services for clinical sites across the UK. As the PACS Administrator you will act as first point of contact for users and escalate issues where necessary working closely with the PACS vendor and PACS Manager. You will also take responsibility for all hardware and software installation, training, testing and systems acceptance.

Candidates must have knowledge of PACS, RIS and CR with the potential to or previous experience of managing a PACS and RIS system. You must have an in-depth understanding of clinical processes within a radiology department and be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of the supporting IT infrastructure ie MS Operating Systems, Web Servers, and DICOM etc.

This could be an excellent opportunity for a PACS Manager who is looking to move out of the NHS or an experienced Radiographer who has strong IT skills and would like to progress their career in a PACS related role.
